2020*

The year 2020, which is now considered a 4 letter word, has tagged your plans with a disclaimer: *Subject to change.
Most of the plans you had for home, work, church, business, retirement, education, vacation, celebration, weddings, and funerals have, since March, been subject to change, often without notice.
Even guidelines for how things might change are subject to change.
Life has never really been certain, but these days many are experiencing a new level of uncertainty in ways unprecedented—the word of the year. (Remember precedented times?)
Putting our confidence in anything or anyone that is subject to change brings at least one eventual certainty: disappointment.
The remedy: Faith in an unchanging God, as revealed in His unchanging word…
“God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19)
“For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed…” (Malachi 3:6)
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
