About

My name is Mike. I am a husband, dad, neighbor, designer, drummer, apologist, and a dark soul redeemed by the Light of grace, Jesus Christ. Amy is my wife, Levi is my son, and we make our home in Central Iowa and serve in communications, music and youth ministry in our local church.

I consider myself a “lunch break apologist.” I don’t think apologetics is a thing reserved for full-time theologians. A defense of the Gospel is something all Christians are called to do, and it can be done everyday. I’ve ventured into some online debates on issues related to Christianity with the goal of rational defense of faith and an exercise in strengthening it. Many of those debates I save and post here, and I hope they encourage others to consider that Christianity can be rationally held. Debates and other notes are of course open to your suggestions and critique. I don’t claim to be an expert. This site is fairly new and I realize some of the debates are pretty long. I intend to break those down into more manageable posts.

“…most important… ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” -Mark 12:29-31

But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess. -1 Peter 3:15
