Not Even Nations and Neighbors
July 3, 2015 § 1 Comment
There is no good thing in creation untainted by the third chapter of Genesis. Our strongest country will unmoore herself from its earliest principals, and your closest companion will unmoore herself from you, given enough time for the poison to work. Faith in man or his mechanisms will ultimately keep you lost, like a compass that points only to the bearer, leaving only heartbreak and wisdom too late to be useful. God gave us nothing but good, and we broke it. God has nothing but good to offer still to anyone who will relinquish the people and governments we are called to love into His shadow—so for heaven’s sake, put your faith in God. He alone in faithful.
The depth of this truth is incomprehensible. We can’t imagine a world without the effects of sin. But one day we will! Waiting for the shout!
